»On the Threshold« — Salon Exhibition, Old Greenwich, CT

CS Art Partners presents On the Threshold, a salon exhibition of selected works by Elias Wessel. Bringing together series such as Deepfakes – Privacy, It’s Complicated, Die Summe meiner Daten – On Series, and Ereignishorizonte, the exhibition focuses on works that emerge from digital displays, scrolling image feeds, and traces of use. At first glance, the images appear painterly, abstract, or minimal; only gradually do they reveal their grounding in photographic processes and in the structures of contemporary image culture. Installed within a domestic setting, On the Threshold invites a more intimate and attentive mode of viewing — one that moves between painterly surface, photographic trace, and reflection on how digital systems shape perception and social and political landscapes.
